String Theory Directed, Designed, Edited and Animated this video for Steve Keene, a mournful and reflective response to the racism, intolerance, and violence that has woven a thread throughout our American history, and frays at us to this day. The final act of the video is a tribute to the recent (and sadly, ever-growing) list of people murdered at the hands of racists, hate crimes, and overwhelmingly, by our own police. This Song asks use to do better. (All proceeds from the sale of this song were donated to anti-discrimination organizations around the country.)

String Theory Directed, Designed, Edited and Animated this video for Steve Keene, a sardonic look at the state of 2020, the Pandemic, and the American Nightmare.
String Theory worked with Experience Hendrix for well over a year to design and animate the feature length documentary that details the comedy and adventure that ensued when Jimi arrived in Maui to participate in a (hippie, drug fueled crazy mess of a) film production, Rainbow Bridge. See and hear the inside stories, and well as see and hear both full sets that Jimi performed 9on the side of a volcano!). This is a helluva fun glimpse into a surreal and magical time.
Working with Director Deana Lenz, ST was brought in to develop from the ground up a flagship charity live concert event, that was filmed, and later broadcast over the holiday season to raise funds and awareness for veterans and their physical and mental rehabilitation. The event featured guitarists from ZZ Top, Heart, Bon Jovi, Jane’s Addiction, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and countless other legends. What a thrill to have designed every inch of this event.
Working with the creative team at Terry and Sandy, we made 60+ designs and formats for animation and digital signage for a complete advertising “takeover” of NYC’s Columbus Circle. Every billboard, stair steps, turnstile, poster, column and digital screen was covered and branded with the campaign. This event was featured in Creativity Magazine, as well as other trade journals.
This jewel of an animation came about when Bodega reached out to us to help develop a sophisticated, friendly and informative video hi lighting the history of technology and immolation and safety. This piece took home several awards, including 5 Telly Awards.
Working with the creative team at Bodega, we wrote, developed and boarded, and animated this flagship piece for the NYCT, kicking off a capital campaign that ultimately also included Print and social components as well. Working with our amazing illustrator Arthur Mount also was a joy!
Partnered with Lightbox Films and directed by Muta’Ali (Life’s Essentials with Ruby Dee) the film “Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn” tells the story of Yusuf Hawkins, a black teenager who was murdered in 1989 by a group of young white men in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Yusuf Hawkins’ death and the official response to it sparked outrage in New York, unleashing a torrent of racial tension and spurring tireless civil rights activism that exposed deep racial prejudices and inequities which continue to plague the country today.
Over 30 years later, the film gathers candid interviews with Yusuf’s family and friends, well-known community leaders, and those closest to the case — as well as archival footage, witness statements and more — to reflect on the tragedy and subsequent fight for justice that inspired and divided New York City.
